Glass Stackable Mug vs Colors Dipped Glass: Which to Buy?

Quick answer

Choose the Glass Stackable Mug if you want a handled, stackable 300 ml cup for coffee, tea, or small soups. Choose the Colors Dipped Drinking Glass if you prefer a compact, handle-free tumbler for cold drinks or quick hot sips and want a pop of color.

Capacity and form: mug vs tumbler

The Glass Stackable Mug holds 300 ml and measures 117 × 90 × 70 mm, giving it a wider, lower profile with a glass handle. That handle makes it easier to lift when the cup is hot, and the 300 ml capacity suits a standard coffee or tea serving. The Colors Dipped Drinking Glass is smaller at 85 mm diameter and 90 mm tall, with no handle. It works well as a juice or water tumbler, but the lack of a handle means you will want to let hot drinks cool slightly before holding it.

Stacking and storage

The Glass Stackable Mug is designed to stack, so a set nests neatly in a cabinet or on an open shelf. The Colors Dipped Drinking Glass does not list a stacking design, so it takes up more vertical space per glass and is better suited to a small set rather than a large collection. If cupboard space is tight, the stackable mug has a clear practical edge.

Heatproof glass and temperature changes

Both glasses are made from heatproof glass—the Colors Dipped Drinking Glass uses tempered glass that can withstand temperature changes from hot to cold, and the Glass Stackable Mug uses borosilicate glass. That means you can serve hot tea or coffee in either without worrying about thermal shock, though the mug’s handle gives it an advantage for very hot drinks. Neither glass is advertised as oven-safe or microwave-safe, so keep them for serving, not cooking.

Color options and everyday look

The Colors Dipped Drinking Glass comes in Amber, Grey, and Green with a dipped color finish that adds a visible accent to the table. The Glass Stackable Mug comes in Amber and Grey, with the color applied to the glass itself rather than a dipped effect. If you want the most color variety, the dipped glass offers one more option; if you prefer a more uniform colored mug, the stackable mug keeps things simple.

Key trade-offs

• Handle vs no handle: The Glass Stackable Mug has a glass handle for hot drinks; the Colors Dipped Drinking Glass has no handle, so it is best for cold drinks or drinks you can hold comfortably. If you regularly drink very hot coffee or tea, the handle is a practical safety feature.
• Capacity and footprint: The mug holds 300 ml and is wider and lower; the dipped glass is smaller and taller. Choose based on your typical serving size and shelf height. Measure your cabinet clearance if you plan to stack the mugs.
• Stackability: The Glass Stackable Mug is designed to stack, while the Colors Dipped Drinking Glass is not. For a large set, stacking makes better use of vertical space. If you store glasses on an open shelf, stacking also keeps the set looking tidy.
